Dermatology practices
Know which ads fill the cosmetic chair, and which fill the medical one.
Medical dermatology and cash-pay cosmetic work run on opposite economics. SmartXperiences measures them separately, and shows you which marketing produced each booked consult.
The problem
One ad account, two businesses, one meaningless average.
A medical visit is reimbursed at a rate somebody else sets. A cosmetic consult is cash-pay at a price you set, and it can be worth many times the visit beside it.
Both arrive through the same website, the same phone number and the same booking flow. Your report counts them as new patients and stops there.
So the campaign filling your schedule with reimbursed visits looks like it is working, and the one producing cash-pay consults looks expensive per lead. On that number you would scale the first and cut the second.
The difference
We separate the two before we measure either.
We do not sell marketing services. We fix the system that turns demand into revenue, and we instrument it so a cosmetic consult and a medical visit are tracked, costed and reported apart.
That means knowing what a booked cosmetic consult costs to win, what share of them show up, and what they are worth next to the spend that produced them — separately from the medical side of the schedule.
It also means the front desk stops being a blind spot. The call that rang out at lunchtime is spend you already paid for.
What gets instrumented
Four connected capabilities, not a list of tactics.
SMART Click
Paid demand separated by intent — medical concerns and cash-pay cosmetic interest do not share a campaign.
SMART Search
Organic and local visibility for both the symptom search and the procedure research.
SMART Receptionist
Voice-enabled conversational AI that answers, routes medical from cosmetic, and books the consult.
SMART Insights
The business intelligence layer that joins call data, ad platforms, forms and booked consults into one record per patient.
Who this is for
Dermatology practices past $1M with demand already coming in.
Medical dermatology, cosmetic and aesthetics, Mohs and surgical, or a combined practice.
It is not for a new practice trying to create demand from zero. We fix capture, not existence.
Compliance
Patient data, handled as patient data.
SmartXperiences can configure HIPAA-supporting call-tracking workflows for healthcare clients. We operate under a Business Associate Agreement with our call-tracking provider and execute a Business Associate Agreement directly with each practice before processing protected health information.
The proof
What this has produced elsewhere.
A dental practice case already runs on the results page. Decide whether it transfers.
Straight answers
Questions practice owners ask first.
Are you a dermatology marketing agency?
No. An agency sells services and reports on activity. We build and instrument the system that turns existing demand into booked consults, then hand you the record that proves which marketing produced them. If what you want is someone to run ads and send a monthly report, we are the wrong call.
Why separate medical and cosmetic at all?
Because their economics run in opposite directions. Medical volume is reimbursed at rates you do not control. Cosmetic is cash-pay at prices you do. Blended into one cost per new patient, the number describes neither and will point you at the wrong campaign.
We already track new patients. Is that not enough?
New patients is a volume number. Two practices can add the same number in a month and one of them is materially more profitable because of what those patients came in for. What you need is cost per booked consult, split by type.
How do you handle patient privacy?
SmartXperiences can configure HIPAA-supporting call-tracking workflows for healthcare clients. We operate under a Business Associate Agreement with our call-tracking provider and execute a Business Associate Agreement directly with each practice before processing protected health information. HIPAA compliance is a shared responsibility. SmartXperiences manages the call-tracking systems and workflows within our control; each practice remains responsible for its own privacy policies, workforce practices, authorizations, and legal compliance.
How do you measure campaign performance without sharing patient information?
Attribution needs to know which campaign produced a qualified call—not who the caller is or why they called. Calls are matched to campaigns and scored inside the call-tracking platform. Advertising platforms receive only the conversion data approved for the engagement—not call recordings, transcripts, or information provided by the caller. That gives Google and Meta a conversion signal they can optimize against. The configuration is verified for each engagement before patient calls are recorded.
Do you do dermatology SEO as well as paid ads?
Both. Neither is the product. What you are buying is the record that shows which one produced the booked consult.
What does it cost?
We set scope after the audit, not before it. The assessment is free. The audit is priced after the assessment, and the audit fee is credited toward your build.
Can I talk to a practice you have worked with?
Yes. We do not publish client names — we own the story, we do not own the brand. When you are ready to confirm what you have read, we will put you in direct contact with an owner in a practice like yours. They have already agreed to take the call.
